Verify your site
Verification proves you own the domain. Until you verify, none of your pages are eligible for CGM Search.
Why verification is step one
We only index sites whose owners have proven control of the domain. Until your site is verified, it won't be crawled and none of its pages can appear in CGM Search.
How to verify
Add your site in the Search Console and pick a method — a DNS TXT record or a meta tag. We give you a token; once it's in place, we confirm it and your site goes live for crawling.
- •DNS TXT: add the token as a TXT record at your DNS host.
- •Meta tag: paste the token tag into your site's <head>.
Tip: DNS verification stays valid even if you redesign your site. A meta tag must remain in your <head> to stay verified.
